Service Description
In this course, is intended for individuals who have a beginning to intermediate knowledge and experience with firearms. In the first half of the course, students will gain a foundational knowledge of the Oregon firearms laws, pistol types, nomenclature, disassembly/reassembly, cleaning, and drawing from a holster. Students will have hands-on practice with proper grip, and stance, sight picture/alignment, trigger squeeze/reset, and be given a chance to put all these skills together with dry-fire drills prior to going onto the live-fire range in the second half of the day. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to confidently handle their firearm while placing accurate shots onto a paper target. You will need: Pistol (in good working condition) 50-100 rounds of ammunition ear/eye protection weather appropriate clothing holster (optional but recommended) pen/paper (for taking notes) food/drink (optional) After successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate of completion worthy of hanging on their wall.
